Police officers barged into the premises of 3 and 5 star hotels including Sayaji, Infinity, Fortune, Landmark, Kalinga to conduct raids late night. This sudden action took everyone by surprise, police said.

Police directed all the hotel owners to shut down the services as they were operating beyond the given deadline. The action was also against the bar-owners' alleged violation of excise rules as well, they said.
