PM returns home after attending G-20 summit in Canada

During his two-day visit in Toronto, the prime minister, besides attending the G-20 summit, also signed a landmark civil nuclear agreement with Canada.

Prime minister Manmohan Singh returned home tonight after attending the G-20 summit in Canada where he met world leaders, including US president Barack Obama and British prime minister David Cameron.

Singh arrived here this evening from Toronto after a brief halt in Frankfurt.

During his two-day visit in Toronto, the prime minister, besides attending the G-20 summit, also signed a landmark civil nuclear agreement with Canada.

The PM attended the meeting of G-20 leaders who discussed the global economic crisis and stimulus measures by governments and the need to sustain the economic stimulus.

Besides Obama and Cameron, Singh also met French president Nicholas Sarkozy, Japanese prime minister Naoto Kan and Canadian prime minister Stephen Harper.
