People pay tribute to IOC fire victims in Jaipur

Jaipur: Hundreds of people lit the candles and prayed for victims who lost their lives in the fire incident at IOC depot on October 29 in Sitapura area near here which claimed 12 lives.

Rajasthan Vidhansabha Speaker Deependra Singh Shekhawat and Lokayukt Justice G L Gupta as guests, lit the lamp as a symbol of tribute in the function organised by Prajapita Brahmkumaries at St Anselm School in Mansarvovar.

Following this, the gathering lit candles and paid tributes to those lost lives in the incident, and also prayed for global peace.

The function was organised as a part of global festival being carried out nationwide by Prajapita Brahmkumari Iswariya Vishwavidhyalaya.

Speaking on the occasion, Brahmkumar Brij Mohan Bhai said that peace can not be achieve by worldly and luxurious things, it could be attain through direct connection with the supreme soul.

In another programme, social activists planted 12 trees in the name of the fire victims.

"The trees were planted at Poddar circle nearby the inferno site indicating the victims' names on each tree," Sandeep Gupta, social activist said.
