The climate that prevailed during the recent Lok Sabha election where UDF achieved an "unexpected victory", has changed now and people have started thinking along different lines with regard to the coming bypoll, Kerala minister for law and sports, M Vijayakumar said here today.
"All three seats where the bypoll is scheduled on Nov 7 at Alappuzha, Kannur and Ernakulam, are traditionally Congress seats, but there is going to be a change now as people have started thinking along different lines," he said, speaking at a meet-the-press programme at Ernakulam press club here.
Claiming that the 'anti-people' policies of the UPA government like reduction of ration quota and ASEAN free trade agreement, were causing concern among people, he alleged that that the Centre had neglected Kerala.
He urged people to give UDF a 'shock treatment' in the bypoll.
