A day after key witness Abdul Salam Reshi levelled serious allegations against Omar Abdullah and his father Farooq Abdullah, National Conference on Friday hit back saying the main opposition People’s Democratic Party leaders are influencing the witnesses and scripting their discourse.

“According to very reliable party sources, two senior PDP leaders are working overtime to influence the witnesses. They have been meeting them and scripting the discourse. We will disclose these details at an appropriate time and forum,” said Devender Singh Rana, political advisor to the chief minister.

Abdul Salam Reshi, the key witness in the alleged ‘cash for favour murder’ of the NC activist Syed Mohammad said the deceased was hale and hearty when he was taken to another room in the chief minister’s residence but he was vomiting and unable to talk when he was being taken to Crime branch headquarters in a police vehicle.

Reshi had also claimed that he had allegedly paid Rs34 lakh to the deceased for an MLC seat. However, he admitted to have received Rs23 lakh back from the deceased after he was not made the MLC.
