A local panchayat has allegedly asked residents of Kiwana village to socially boycott a family for at least two years for seeking divorce for their daughter.
 
The panchayat members claimed Iqbal Ahmad took a loan of Rs1 crore and 10 lakh from his son-in-law Hashim Ali, a Delhi-based businessman.
 
They said that Ahmad was now pressurising his daughter Anjum to divorce Ali. The couple got married about 18 months ago.
