Over thirty people were today injured in the city in accidents while flying kites on the occasion of Makar Sankranti.
"Thirty-nine cases were reported in the hospital till the evening. Two persons with serious injuries were hospitalised while rest were given first aid," a source said at the SMS Hospital.
He said some of those injured had cuts due to the strings used to fly kites. Meanwhile, at a veterinary hospital here, a doctor said many pigeons were brought in with injuries.
