As members of the erstwhile Team Anna and their supporters hit the streets on Sunday, Anonymous Operations India, which has been protesting against alleged internet censorship by the central government, voiced its support for the movement.

“IAC volunteers beaten up. India Rise up. Government Of India there shall be revenge, mark our word. The time is now, India get ready for the next war of independence This Sunday Youth know that It’s your future on line,” the group tweeted after which they defaced www.yuvadesh.com — the online magazine of the Indian Youth Congress.

The website was, however, restored within a few hours. They also said that “any anti-corruption movement will have our backing as long as we feel it has no political phase to it.”
