One more succumbs to swine flu in Coimbatore

A farmer succumbed to H1N1 virus today, taking the toll due the disease in the last ten days to two.

Ponnusamy, 48, a resident of Nallichettipalayam of Annur, about 40km from here, was suffering from severe fever for the last two days and his swab tests confirmed swine flu, hospital sources said.

He succumbed to the flu in the wee hours today, they said.

A senior bank official from Chennai died of swine flu last week.

With the death of Ponnusamy, the swine flu toll in the district in the last ten months has risen to six.
