One person was killed and three others were seriously injured when the truck in which they were travelling was hit by a train in Assam's Sonitpur district today.
The truck was hit at an unmanned railway crossing at Halodhibari near Biswanath Chariali killing one on the spot, official sources said.
The local train was coming from Rangiya in lower Assam and proceeding to Farkating.
The injured were admitted to hospital and through traffic on the rail tracks was restored, the sources added.
