One killed in group clash in Orissa

Dhenkanal (Orissa): At least one person was killed and seven others were injured in a group clash over a piece of land in Orissa's Dehenkanal district today, police said.

The incident took place this morning when residents of Purunasahi went to neghbouring Nuasahi village. The villagers had a dispute over a piece of land, police said.

The deceased was identified as 65-year-old Trilochan Sahu, a farmer of Purunasahi village under Perjung police station area.

While three seriously persons were rushed to SCB Medical College Hospital in Cuttack, four others were admitted at the government hospital at Perjung.

The district collector and SP rushed to the spot. Three platoons of armed force was deployed at the area as tension prevailed, police said.
