One killed, another injured in shootout over flag hoisting in Bihar

Members of Rajiv Lochan and Narendra Singh gangs suddenly started exchanging fire following a dispute over the right to hoist national flag in Bhabhua town in Kaimur district, sources said.

One person was killed and another injured in a shoot out between two groups over who should hoist the tricolour at a closed petrol pump in Bhabhua town in Kaimur district, police sources said.

Members of Rajiv Lochan and Narendra Singh gangs suddenly started exchanging fire following a dispute over the right to hoist national flag at the spot, the sources said.

While Lochan was shot dead allegedly by Singh's men, Vinod Singh of Narendra Singh's group was injured after suffering bullet injury.

Singh has been arrested and and taken to the local police station for questioning, the sources said. 

The pump had been closed for some years with both Lochan and Singh groups laying claims over the property.
