Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah will be among the select people attending the private dinner being hosted by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for visiting US President Barack Obama on November 7.

40-year-old Omar has been a special invitee earlier when former US President Bill Clinton and George W Bush visited India in March, 2000 and March, 2006 respectively.

Official sources said that some cabinet ministers, national security advisor Shivshankar Menon and deputy chairman planning commission Montek Singh Ahluwalia were also likely to be in the select gathering.

According to the tweet by film actress and former MP Shabana Azmi, she and her husband noted lyricist Javed Akthar have been invited for the dinner.
