People in North Gujarat continued to reel under severe heat here as mercury sizzled to over 45 degree celsius in some parts of the state, district officials said in Sabarkantha today.
Idar taluka of Sabrakantha recorded temperature of 45.2 degree celsius with hot winds blowing at the speed of 5 km per hour in the region, they said.
Condition was same in Visanagar, Kheralu, Vijapur and Kadi talukas in Mehsana district, Modasa of Sabarkantha, Patan and Banaskantha and people refrained from coming out of their houses.
District officials said that there were no reports of casualties from any part of North Gujarat today.
