The Uttar Pradesh Police today said they had not received any fresh alert from the Centre or security agencies about terror strikes in the state.
"Neither the UP DGP nor the state intelligence agencies have got any specific alert from the Central agencies," ADGP (Law and Order) AK Jain told reporters here.
"On the basis of previous alerts, the state police, including the ATS, are already on alert. They are keeping a close watch on vital institutions, religious places, malls, markets and crowded places," Jain said.
