The tourism, housing and port administration portfolios, earlier handled by Fransisco Mickey Pacheco who is on a run after the death of his woman friend, has been alloted to NCP MLA Nilkant Halarnkar.
"All the portfolios earlier allotted to Fransisco Mickey Pacheco will rest with Halarnkar," he said.
I have signed the order allotting the portfolios and sent it to governor Dr SS Sidhu, he told PTI.
Halarnkar represents Thivim Assembly constituency and is the chairman of North Goa Planning and Development Authority (NGPDA).
Pacheco has been accused of abetting death of 28-year-old Nadia Torrado.
Halarnkar was sworn-in as a minister on June 8, two days after Pacheco put down his papers and went into hiding.
The delay in allotting portfolios to Halarnkar had irked NCP leaders, who met chief minister on Monday. Sources said a few Congress ministers were lobbying hard to get tourism portfolio.
NCP had demanded that the Pacheco's portfolios be given to Halarnkar as it was part of coalition agreement between them and Congress.
