Night curfew imposed along International Border in Jammu

District magistrate, Jammu, MK Dwivedi imposed restriction on movement of any person from 10 pm to 5 am in the area falling within one kilometre distance along the International Border for two months from today.

The authorities today imposed night curfew for two months within one kilometre area of the International Border (IB) in Jammu district to prevent smuggling of weapons and subversive/anti-national activities from across the border.

Considering the situation, movement of civilians at night is likely to confuse the troops deployed there. Besides, it may hamper border operations and endanger the lives of innocent people, the DM said.
