Unidentified persons vandalised a half-bust of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose at Chanchol town in Malda district in West Bengal, the police said.
"The vadals broke the head of the bust located at Chowringhee More in town last night. The police have been looking for it," sub-divisional officer of Chanchol Shubho Mukherjee said after visiting the spot.
The locals have started a demonstration to condemn the incident, the police said.
