NCP asks Goa govt to ensure probe against Mickky Pacheco is impartial

NCP’s Goa unit president Joseph Philip D’Souza said that the investigations should not be dragged on and the MLA is not unnecessarily kept in the custody.

The Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) while taking strong exception to the way its MLA Fransisco Mickky Pacheco has been 'dragged into the controversy over the suicidal death of Nadia' today said the state government should ensure that investigation in the case are conducted impartially.

"While making it clear that NCP welcomes a thorough investigation on the charges levelled by police on Pacheco, the party requests chief minister to see to it that investigations are carried out in an impartial manner," NCP’s Goa unit president Joseph Philip D’Souza has said.

He said that the investigations should not be dragged on and the MLA is not unnecessarily kept in the custody.

NCP Goa Unit President said that," the party takes strong exception to the way its MLA Pacheco has been dragged into the controversy over the suicidal death of Nadia".

D’Souza, who is also a state revenue minister, said that Pacheco will render all cooperation to the police to expeditiously complete the investigations.

Pacheco was arrested in connection with death of his friend Nadia Torrado. He is currently in police custody pending his bail plea which would be heard by a local court on Monday.
