Narenda Modi to inaugurate children's home in Vadodara tomorrow

Gujarat chief minister Narenda Modi will inaugurate country's first of its kind children's home, 'Bal Gokulam' in the city tomorrow.

Talking to the newsmen here today, Vadodara district collector Vijay Nehra said, "this unique home is constructed at a cost of Rs2.5 crore, with public-private partnership which will rehabilitate orphans, lost children, labourers, abandoned and poor single parent children in society".

This home with unique facilities such as public residential school could prove to be a model for other projects.

The building has four dormitories, with comfortable beds and cupboards, to house 100 children modern class rooms are built to provide formal as well as computer training. The inmates will be able to enjoy indoor games and perform cultural activities at the modern indoor game hall.

The children's home has basket ball and volleyball courts also.

Tejal Amin, managing trustee of noted Navrachna High School said, "Navrachna school-sama and another school Baroda high school, Danteshwar, will provide educational expertise and accommodate these children in their schools and also provide them free education."

Amit Bhatnagar, Managing Director of Diamond Industries said, "My unit will provide books and dresses and required educational materials to these children."
