Nagma to campaign for Congress even if denied ticket

Mumbai: Actress Nagma, who is aspiring to contest the Lok Sabha polls on a Congress ticket from Mumbai North-West, on Wednesday, said she would campaign for the party even if she is denied a ticket.

Nagma denied reports that she is likely to switch over to the BJP as Congress will not field her as a candidate.

"I am a member of the Congress for the last seven years and have been abiding by the decisions of the party leadership," she said.

Nagma said rumours that she and actor Govinda have been denied tickets are being spread by people who are jeolous of their popularity.

"I have a clean image and Congress is of the view that maximum seats should be given to youth and women," she said.
