Multi-storeyed building in Delhi's Karol Bagh gutted

A multi-storeyed building housing an auto spareparts showroom in central Delhi was gutted today after a blaze erupted in a car and spread to the structure, fire brigade officials said.

No one was injured in the incident in Karol Bagh early this morning.

According to officials, the car parked near the building caught fire and the blaze spread to the building.

The building was completely damaged in the blaze, they said. The owner of the building was in Shirdi on a pilgrimage.

In another incident, a fire broke out in a shop in Kirti Nagar furniture market this evening. Two fire tenders were rushed to the spot. The cause of fire was not immediately known.
