Gandhinagar: Chief Minister Narendra Modi will be leaving for Russia on his third official visit to the country on October 25, to attend the fourth International Energy Week at the World Trade Centre in Moscow.
Sources in the state government have said that a high-level delegation comprising who's who from the oil and gas industry will accompany the CM in his Russian visit. Gautam Adani, Parimal Nathwani, Torrent Group's Sudhir Mehta, Essar Group's Shashi Ruia and Shell's Nitin Shukla are likely to join Modi.
On October 26, Modi will participate in an International Energy Week exhibition, where he is expected to talk about Gujarat's development in energy sector and future opportunities. He will also meet the president of Gazprom, Russia's leading oil & gas company and may announce some tie-up with the company.
The next day Modi will meet Russia's industry minister and discuss various business and industry development opportunities through bilateral co-operation. The CM is also likely to meet representative of 15 leading Russian and European Oil and Gas companies and announce tie up with these companies. Before Modi leaves for India on October 28, he will meet Indian community leaders in Russia on October 27 evening.
