A teenaged boy has been arrested for raping a minor girl at Gadarpur area of Uttarakhand's Udham Singh Nagar district, police said today.
The incident happened yesterday when the five-year-old girl was playing with other children outside her home. The accused Asif, 15 forcibly took the victim to his nearby home where he allegedly raped her.
Hearing her shrieks, a crowd gathered at the place but Asif managed to flee. However, police later arrested him.
