About 10 armed militants of the Jharkhand Liberation Tiger (JLT), a splinter group of erstwhile MCC in the neighbouring state, stormed into the market on the Orissa-Jharkhand border last evening, police sources said.

One person was killed and three others seriously injured when militants fired at a weekly village market demanding closure of liqour shops and a halt to gambling in Orissa's Sundargarh district.
About 10 armed militants of the Jharkhand Liberation Tiger (JLT), a splinter group of erstwhile MCC in the neighbouring state, stormed into the market at Katepur about 60 km from Rourkela on the Orissa-Jharkhand border last evening, police sources said.
They fired from their weapons killing a person identified as Prasanna Naik, 40, and injuring three critically, the sources said.
The militants left after an hour, disappearing into the forests of Jharkhand.
The police reached the spot this morning and recovered the body.
Six spent cartridges were found from the spot.
Shops at the market remained closed.
