Medical store, finance company in Naranpura burgled of Rs2.4 lakh

According to Naranpura police, Umesh Joshi of Guru Krupa Finance in Pragatinagar found the door to his office open and Rs2 lakh in cash missing from the safe.

A medical store and a finance company located on the same street in Naranpura were robbed of cash to the tune of Rs2.4 lakh. The police said that burglars broke the lock and entered the premises sometime on Thursday night.

They then escaped with Rs2.4 lakh in cash. The burglars also tried to enter a bank but were unsuccessful in their attempt. 

According to Naranpura police, Umesh Joshi of Guru Krupa Finance in Pragatinagar found the door to his office open and Rs2 lakh in cash missing from the safe.

Joshi then registered a complaint with the Naranpura police. Similarly, Prakash Shah's medical store KB Shah and Company close to Joshi's office was also targeted by the burglars who escaped with Rs40, 000 cash.
According to police, Shah, who is a distributor of medicines, found his store's lock broken. Police inspector HB Jamod, who is investigating the case, said that a similar modus operandi was used in both the cases.

Jamod said that both the burglaries could be the handiwork of the same gang.
He added that the medical store's CCTV camera was switched off during the night.

Jamod said that the burglars also targeted Gujarat Sahakari Krushi and Gramin Bank located on 132ft Road but were unsuccessful in breaking the lock.
