Mediapersons today boycotted a scheduled press conference of the Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) due to delay in starting the conference.
JAC convenor C Kodandaram and other leaders did not
turn up for the media conference even after about an hour
after scheduled time in the evening. Protesting the delay the
scribes walked out of the JAC office.
In an appeal from Kodandaram and other JAC leaders failed to pacify the journalists who indicated their decision to boycott the media conference.
The JAC was formed with the ruling Congress, TDP, TRS, BJP and several peoples organisations as its members but is now left with only the TRS and the peoples organisations.
While theCongress walked out of the committe in protest against the JAC's directive to MLAs and MPs to quit their posts to mount pressure on Centre for formation of Telangana, the TDP was expelled for not complying with the decision.
BJP has been staying away from the activities of the JAC for a long time.
