Mayawati orders action against adulteration of food, drugs

Uttar Pradesh chief minister Mayawati today ordered strict action against those indulging in the adulteration of food articles and drugs.

During a high-level meeting held in Lucknow this evening, the CM directed the officials to take tough action against those indulging in illegal sale of oxytocin and ordered a ban on its illegal sale immediately.

Mayawati directed the officers to intensify the drive against those involved in the manufacturing and sale of sub-standard medicines.

She said that stringent action should be taken against those involved in the sale of prohibited drugs dangerous for human health.
