Man kills his two children

A 38 year old man in an inebriated condition killed his two children by silting their throats at Limbae village near Barwani, police said.

The accused Ramu Barela silt the throat of his daughter Radha (9) and son Anand (6) with a sharp-edged weapon last night and fled from the house, police said.

When the children did not wake up this morning, Balibai, mother of the accused living with them, entered their room only to find them lying in a pool of blood, police said.

She told the police that her son used to beat his children often and he was heavily drunk last night.

Barela was upset after his wife left him a year ago, police said adding that a manhunt has been launched to arrest him.
