Man kills cousin sister on wedding day in Gujarat; arrested

A man was arrested for allegedly stabbing his cousin sister to death ahead of her marriage today in Shihore taluka of this district, police said.

The incident took place in Songadh village where Naransinh Gohil, 35, stabbed his cousin Jagruti Gohil, 22, seven times using a sharp object, they said.

The young woman was rushed to the government hospital where she was pronounced brought dead.

Police said the Naransinh was in love with his cousin and this could be the reason behind the murder.

However, probe is on to ascertain the actual cause, they said.
