A man committed suicide after allegedly hacking his wife to death in a fit of rage over a
petty dispute in Phoolbehar area of Lakhimpur district, police said today.
"Uttam Yadav hacked his wife Kusuma Devi (24) in Randauva village last night after the duo had a heated argument over some personal matters," additional superintendent of police Ramakant Prasad said here.
However, filled with remorse, Yadav then hanged himself to death from a tree in the village outskirts, the officer claimed.
"His body was recovered this morning," he said.
