Apparently upset over his wife's alleged extra-marital affair, a 40-year-old man committed suicide after killing his three children in Rajasthan's Jhalawar district, police said today.
The incident occurred on Monday night when Ram Gopal administered poison to his three children Lekhraj (14), Vishnu (12), and Munna (8) and committed suicide later, Sarola deputy superintendent of Police Nasimullah said.
The bodies were found yesterday morning in their house in Taraj town, he said.
The wife of Gopal had gone to her parents' home after he raised questions over her character.
