Man claiming to be 'terrorist' arrested from Delhi airport

Rajkumar, 27, was apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force at around 2pm today when he reached the terminal and threatened to cause damage by claiming he was a terrorist.

A man claiming to be a terrorist was arrested with a knife and a can of petrol from Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International airport.

Rajkumar, 27, was apprehended by the Central Industrial Security Force at around 2pm today when he reached the terminal and threatened to cause damage by claiming he was a terrorist, officials said.

"A knife and half litre can of petrol was recovered from his bag and he has been handed over to Delhi Police. He seems to be mentally unstable," a senior airport officer said.

The officer said Rajkumar also threatened the CISF guards with suicide but was overpowered at gate number 3 of the new terminal.
