A 40-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly raping a minor girl in Mitrapur village near here, the police said today.
Laxmikanta Singh was arrested yesterday for raping a 3-year-old girl which has triggered anger among locals, the police said.
The accused who was a neighbour of the girl took her to a lonely place on the plea of giving her a chocolate and raped her, sources said.
The girl has been admitted to a hospital in a serious condition.
