Two- and- half year old male tiger 'Kishen' had killed five people before being trapped by wildlife wardens in the Kishenpur sanctuary.

Lucknow Zoo Director Renu Singh said, "We saw wounds around the ear of the tiger, and after repeated dressings, the wound reappeared. We did biopsy and found it is suffering from 'haemangio sarcoma'- a cancer of the blood vessels."

The tiger was brought to the zoo in March this year and has been under constant medical observation and care since then.
