Former Jharkhand chief minister Madhu Koda, who was supposed to be questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) on November 15, has replied to it saying that he is unable to join the investigation because of Jharkhand polls.

The ED is very keen to interrogate Koda, the kingpin of the Rs2,500 crore money laundering racket, and has issued summons for a third time, asking him to appear before it on November 19. When Koda was first summoned, he complained of stomach ache. After being discharged from hospital, he was served another summon on November 15.
“We are waiting to question him on November 19,” an ED official said.
