Kiln owner killed, gold worth Rs16 Lakh looted

According to information, Rajendra Jadhav, 35, a resident of Adajan was found dead at his gold kiln at Man-Mandir apartment in Chauta-pool on Friday morning.

In a gruesome incident, a kiln owner was killed by unidentified people at Chautapool in Bhagal late on Thursday night. The criminals also stole gold and silver worth Rs16 lakh from his kiln. The police are is clueless and have initiated search for the
offenders.

According to information, Rajendra Jadhav, 35, a resident of Adajan was found dead at his gold kiln at Man-Mandir apartment in Chauta-pool on Friday morning. Jadhav's brother Vijay saw him lying on the floor with his throat slit with a sharp weapon.

On checking the kiln, Vijay found that gold and silver worth Rs16 lakh brought for making jewellery was missing. He immediately informed the police, who rushed to the spot. The police did a survey of the entire area and collected samples from the scene of crime. The victim's body was sent to New Civil hospital for postmortem.

Sources said that Jadhav had rented this new place a month back after his kiln was sealed by SMC on a verdict from Supreme Court. He had started the business with a new name Vijay Touch Refinery, after his attempts to find a job failed.

"The crime is committed by someone known to him, as he had rented the shop only a month back. The last I saw him was at 10.45pm when I left the shop on Thursday. When I returned in the morning, I saw him dead. Very few people even know about this new shop," said

Vijay, the victim's brother. Police initiated searched for the criminals but could not find any clue. Sources said that a new team has been formed to investigate the matter.
