Kerala High court judge tenders resignation

Kochi: Kerala High Court judge justice V Giri today resigned citing "personal reasons". He sent his resignation letter to the president.

Justice Giri (49) met high court chief justice SR Bannurmath this morning and informed him about the decision, court sources said.

Giri has requested the president to accept the resignation with immediate effect, they said.

Sworn-in as an additional judge on Aug 1, 2007, Justice Giri, a lawyer, became a permanent judge only on April 6 this year.
