Kerala high court today directed CBI not to enforce the non-bailable warrant issued against Father Varghese Thekkara, first accused in the murder of Malankara Varghese, Managing Committee member of Malankara orthodox church in December 2002.
The direction was issued by Justice K Hema when Thekkara's anctipatory bail came up before the court.
The court also deferred hearing of the plea to Monday.
The murder, which took place on Dec 5, 2002, is alleged to be a fallout of the a bitter feud between the two factions of the Malankara church-- Syrian Orthodox and Syrian Jacobites.
The CBI probe has named 19 persons as accused in the case.
