Kashmir security forces bust militant hideout, find explosives

Security forces busted a militant hideout and recovered 43kg explosives in Budgam district of Kashmir, a defence spokesman said here today.

"On specific information about presence of terrorists in area of Dhurmuna (in Budgam), a joint operation was launched by Army and police yesterday and a cache comprising 43kg of high explosives was recovered," the spokesman said.

He said the buried explosives were detected by the Army's dog squad.

"A bomb disposal team was rushed to the spot and the explosives were destroyed," he added.
