Taking a swipe at Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Jayalalithaa's "Vision 2023" document, her archrival and DMK chief M Karunanidhi today said the proposals will remain a mere 'dream' as there were no funds to implement them.
"Her dream project is (to ensure) 20,000 mw of power in another ten years, (constructing) 25 lakh houses and imparting human resources training to two crore people. This will remain a dream," he said writing in the party mouthpiece 'Murasoli.'
The 88 year-old leader said it made the newspaper headlines for a day as these "are schemes from funds that don't exist" and charged Jayalalithaa with trying to garner publicity.
The chief minister had released her 'Vision 2023' document on Thursday, spelling out the blueprint for making the state 'Numero Uno,' envisaging massive investments in various sectors including infrastructure.
