Ahead of Karnataka chief minister BS Yeddyurappa's meeting with BJP top brass here, some MLAs belonging to the loyalist and dissident camps met senior party leaders separately to convey their demands.
Karnataka BJP unit president Sadanand Gowda, a staunch supporter of the chief minister, exuded confidence that there will be no change of guard in the only BJP-ruled southern state.
"100 per cent," Gowda, who reached here today and is in touch with senior leaders, said when asked if Yeddyurappa will continue.
"Practically, the central leadership has already given a verdict as far as leadership is concerned that there will be no change of leadership in Karnataka," he said.
Gowda described the crisis as one in the Yeddyurappa cabinet and not in BJP and hoped "everything will be resolved". He said there were "small differences" and now it was up to the central leadership to resolve them.
During his two-day stay here from today, Yeddyurappa will discuss the rebellion in the party with senior leaders. Around 10 MLAs loyal to Yeddyurappa met some senior party leaders here while a few close to Reddy brothers accompanied their leader Janardhana Reddy to meet senior leader Sushma Swaraj.
