Joint collector K Sasidhar today said that all eligible persons would get ration cards after completing the Integrated Ration Card Survey programme.
Sasidhar who visited Seethapuram Village of Tallervu mandal where the survey is on said the survey would help weed out bogus ration cards.
He said over 48,000 applications have been received for new cards. "We will issue new ration cards after the survey process is completed", he said.
He informed the villagers that the ration cards in the name of persons who are no more or who have left the village or who are under aged would be cancelled.
