The Jharkhand government would accept any decision taken at today's high-level meeting to give final touches to the proposed anti-Maoist offensive, deputy chief minister Raghubar Das said here today.

"Jharkhand government will accept any decision taken at the meeting (on tackling Maoists)," Das said.

"The government had made repeated pleas to the Maoists to shun violence and join discussion to sort out their problems, but to no avail," he said on his arrival here to attend the meeting.

An indisposed Jharkhand chief minister Sibu Soren did not turn up for the meeting presided over by Union home minister P Chidambaram, but sent his two deputy chief ministers Raghubar
Das and S Mahato to represent him.
