JDP assesses impact of anti-Maoist operation

Jharkhand Disom Party (JDP) leaders today met to assess the possible impact of proposed Operation Green Hunt in Maoist-hit states.

Addressing a press conference here after the meeting, party president Salkhan Murmu said they fear Adivasi community
would be sandwiched between Maoists and the security forces
during operations.

He regretted that though Maoists have been calling bandhs frequently over various issues but they never bother to call bandh over an issue protecting the tribals interest.
