Jaipur: Petroleum minister Murli Deora will meet Rajasthan government officials in Delhi tomorrow to assess the damage caused to industries in the fire at the Indian Oil service centre near here and discuss corrective measures to be taken.

Disclosing this, chief minister Ashok Gehlot said he had asked industry minister Rajendra Pareek, industry secretary CS Rajan, and RIICO CMD Sunil Arora to make an effective representation on the losses due to the fire.

He also asked RIICO to include insurance agencies in the survey of the Sitapura industrial zone which houses gems and jewellery, electronic and instrumentation, textile, engineering units, and medical and technical colleges.

Gehlot said rehabilitation of people, especially daily wage earners, be taken up on a war footing once the fire died down.
