J&K governor reviews arrangements for Amarnath Yatra

With barely a week left for start of annual Amarnath Yatra, Jammu and Kashmir governor NN Vohra today visited the 3,880 metre high cave shrine and reviewed the track clearance and logistic arrangements at various halting stations enroute to the shrine.
   
The governor visited the Holy cave, housing the naturally formed ice Shivilingam besides Panjtarni along the traditional 46-km Pahalgam route in Anantnag district and Baltal, the shortest 16km track in Ganderbal district, an official spokesperson said.
   
Vohra, who is also the chairman of the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board (SASB), reviewed the status of the track clearance and various logistical arrangements and facilities for the Yatra scheduled to commence from Baltal and Pahalgam on July 1.
