An infant girl was charred to death as 200 thatched houses were devastated in a fire at Kajipuraia-Khairpur village in Bihar's Bhagalpur district today.
A total 12 cattle were also charred to death in the fire, which resulted from a spark from a clay oven and spread due to strong westerly winds, the police said.
The infant was identified as Asha Kumari, daughter of Mani Lal Sharma of the village, the police aid.
