Indo-Pak troops exchange sweets on the occasion of Eid

A sector commander level flag meeting was held between the BSF and Pakistani Rangers at a forward Border Outpost in Jammu district and Eid greetings and sweets were exchanged, official sources said.

In a goodwill gesture on the occasion of Eid-ul-Zuha, Indian and Pakistani troops today exchanged greetings and sweets at different points along the Indo-Pak border in Jammu and Kashmir.
 
A sector commander level flag meeting was held between the BSF and Pakistani Rangers at a forward Border Outpost in Jammu district and Eid greetings and sweets were exchanged, official sources said.
 
Sweets and Eid-ul-Zuha greetings were also exchanged between the two armies at another flag meeting held along the Line of Control (LoC) at Chakan-Da-Bagh crossing point in Poonch district, they said.
 
The Pakistani delegation was led by Col Omar Gul of 35 Baloch Regiment, while the Indian side was led by Col VP Singh of Bihar Regiment, they said.
 
A Sector Commander-DIG level flag meeting between BSF and Pakistani rangers was also held at Octroi Border Out Post along the International Border (IB) in RS Pura sector of Jammu district to exchange sweets and greetings on the occasion.
 
The meetings were held in a cordial atmosphere and both the sides agreed to maintain peace and tranquillity along the border, they said.
 
Border guards of the two countries also exchanged greetings and sweets at the Attari border on the occasion of the pious festival.
 
The BSF and the Pakistani rangers handed over boxes containing sweets and fruits to each other.
 
They also mingled with one another, shook hands and exchanged pleasantries.
