A two-day meet of indigenous storytellers from various communities of the country, especially from Sikkim and other parts of the Eastern Himalayan region, began in Gangtok today.
The one of its kind indigenous storytellers festival is being organised by Acoustic Traditional, a Hyderabad based NGO, in association with the state's culture department.
The festival aims to promote the craft of oral storytelling and building an interest in folklore among the younger generation.
